Ernest Hemingway

This approximately 2/3 life size portrait sculpture of the American writer Ernest Hemingway was completed in 2019 by Steve Paterson. The piece measures around 16 inches including mahogany base and is finished with a light verdigris over “penny black” patination. The bust is supplied with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. Priced at £395, each of these collectible artworks are hand cast by the artist to order. Born in 1899 Ernest Miller Hemingway was an American novelist and short story writer who had a major influence on literature during the 20th century. During his career he published seven novels, six collections of short stories and two works of non-fiction. His works which include A Farewell to Arms, For Whome the Bell Tolls, The Old Man and the Sea amongst others are considered some of the classics of American literature. Hemingway died in 1961
